    The CROP walk is coming up soon. It's an annual walk to raise food for the hungry. I enjoy being part of that every year. I also enjoy supporting Well of Grace Ministries - a local group who help women in crisis situations. There are others I respect and support, but I'd be curious to know ... What

    I'm like Enrique on this one - I know it's spring when I can't stop sneezing. Though I do sneeze in the winter...Okay, I know it's spring when I can't stop sneezing outside. It's winter when it's bloody cold and I'm sneezing inside.

    I know it's really spring when the monarchs come back. they usually come back before the geese which surprises me, but I guess they travel slower.

    @sebravo - Ah .. Pollon ... the evil harbinger.

    When there is no more threat of frost, the flowers are blooming and you can open your windows to air out your house. But most importantly is when Enrique can't stop sneezing!

    I'm with melinda-there was no president's day that I remember...then again, if we didn't get out of school for it, who cares?
  • saintvi
    There was no President's Day when I was a young child. There was Lincoln's Birthday on February 12 and Washington's Birthday on February 22 (until 1971 at least). I just have vague memories of coloring pictures of them at school and hearing the stories about Washington throwing a dollar coin across
