Books
- Favorite Books: I'm glad it says books with an "s" because this changes often. Let's see: The Princss Bride, anything by Robin McKinley, James Rollins, or Alexandre Dumas. The Bible. The Hawk and the Jewel. The Harry Potter Books. THe Chronicles of Narnia.
- Favorite Authors: see above; and I also like L. Frank Baum and C.S. Lewis and Philip Pullman
- Favorite Genres: Let's see, I like just about anything, but when I haven't read science fiction/fantasy in a long time, I quite literally crave it. I also like Murder Mysteries, but I'm not a big fan of certain authors' mysteries, simply because of how predictable they are.
- Favorite Characters: Hmm... specifically, I can't say, but characters who are human, not perfect, because when you have a perfect character, I think it makes the story "unrelatable," and who wants an unrelatable story? Likewise, I hate bad guys who are all bad. Can't they have their good moments, too?
- Favorite Quotes: from books? Hehe. “Now at last they were beginning Chapter One of the Great Story, which no one on earth has ever read; which goes on forever: in which every chapter is better than the one before.” ~C.S. Lewis, The Last Battle “The rose is the flower of love - the world has acclaimed it so for centuries. The pink roses are love hopeful and expectant - the white roses are love dead or forsaken - but the red roses...what are the red roses?... Yes - love triumphant and perfect. ~ L.M. Montgomery, Anne’s House of Dreams “I have lived my life with only the prayer that some sudden dawn you might glance in my direction. I have not known a moment in years when the sight of you did not send my heart careening against my rib cage. I have not known a night when your visage did not accompany me to sleep. There has not been a morning when you did not flutter behind my waking eyelids.” ~ S. Morgenstern, The Princess Bride “It’s always a very puzzling question...what can somebody see in somebody else? But how fortunate after all that it is so, because if everybody saw alike...well, in that case as the old Indian once said, “Everybody would want my squaw.” ~ L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Avonlea “She loves you. She loves you still and you love her, so think of that - think of this, too: in all this world, you might have been happy, genuinely happy. Not one couple in the world has that chance, not really, no matter what the storybooks say.” ~ S. Morgenstern, The Princess Bride “There are two equal and opposite errors into which our race can fall about the devils. One is to disbelieve in their existence. The other is to believe, and to feel an excessive and unhealthy interest in them.” ~C.S. Lewis The Screwtape Letters “Everything has to come to an end, sometime.” ~ L. Frank Baum “You can’t know. You can only believe - or not.” ~ C.S. Lewis The Voyage of the Dawn Treader “When things go wrong, you’ll find they usually go on getting worse for some time; but when things once start going right they often go on getting better and better.” ~ C.S. Lewis The Magician’s Nephew “It was a world in which nothing was fixed; everything was changeable; in which identity merged and dissolved, qualities such as hard and soft and up and down and sorrow and joy changed into their opposites in the twinkling of an eye and became meaningless; and in which the only reliable guide was suspicion, the only constant theme mistrust.” ~Philip Pullman The Shadow in the North “When it comes to being pounded upon the head by an iron hammer, and smashed into pancakes, we naturally object.” ~L. Frank Baum Ozma of Oz

More About Me
- Nationality: American
- Religion: Christian
- Interests: Let's see, this list consistently changes, as I realized the other day when I was filling out the "likes" and "dislikes" section of my Privila Internship thing. It's funny, for journalism, my likes and dislikes tend to run together. For example, I enjoy fashion, but I dislike the return of various 80's fashion trends. And who can blame me? I'm a Christian, and interested in God and a continuing relationship with His Son; as well as learning more about him. I also enjoy writing, reading, people, cultures, languages, traveling, American Idol (this is new), Fairy Tales, Disney movies (though I hate the way they changed the tales; though I suppose it's necessary), Paris, games, pretty things, and boys.
- Expertise: Français. Writing; fiction and non-fiction. Reading. Talking. Asking questions. Convincing people to do things/tell me things that they don't necessarily want to.

I think someone should tell me hi on here, seeing as how I went and added it. (This is a hint. A blatant one.)
