Travel
- Places I love: THE PHILIPPINES
- Places I've been: I lived in various places on several islands, & vistied others as well. When I was almost 4 we arrived in Cebu City, Cebu -- & lived there for one year. Then we lived in Tagum, Davao in Mindanao for 3 years. We visited many other small towns & provinces, and would go to Davao City fairly often while living there. We also spent a vacation with one of the ladies who worked with us -- she was from the island of Bohol; I know we were visited in IloIlo, also. We returned to the U.S. for about one year, & then my parents' 2nd term, we lived on Luzon in the greater metro-Manila area. Our first year was in Quezon City-- a subdivision called "Heroes' Hill" -- then we spent 3 years in Antipolo, & stayed one extra year at a school called Faith Academy (for mainly missionary children, but some Filipino business & local ministry people, also)-- which is in a subdivision in the Makati area, I believe. We again would visit in other areas around there at that time. We took a couple of vacation trips to Baguio, I know. By the time we came back to the U.S. to live, I was about 14. I returned by myself when I was almost 22, to do my student teaching back at Faith Academy. I visited more of our friends (both Filipino & American) on various islands while I was there. In addition to the places that I've already mentioned -- I also spent time in Batangas & Leyte and visited Corregidor & "100 Islands" - & maybe more places, as well? Aywan ko. -------- I've also stopped over in Tokyo & Hong Kong, visited in Windsor in Canada. ----- in the U.S. -- I've been through or visited in a number of places... Hawaii, some Eastern & midwestern, & western states... but I was born in CA - lived there about 3-1/2 + years, lived in IL about 5 years (where my parents are from), & have become a "transplant Buckeye" - LOL - Ohio -- where I've lived now since I began college in fall of 1971! --- WOW! I'm old!!
- Places to see before I die: I'd love to go to Australia & to Europe (since I've never been.) I FORGOT- India!! -- We have dear friends there!
- Dream Vacation: Back to the Philippines!! (with my Honey - for- don't know how long -- but I'd have to get back to U.S. to be with family -- esp. with my kids now all married. If grandparenting is as fun as it's been with my first -- Tristen, I may have to just vacation locally with all of the babies! ;-)
