- Recent Reads: A Wager of Blood by J. W. Coffey: Zach Harper is a modern day reincarnation of his great grand uncle Matthew, who was viciously murdered in the very Inn where Zach works. When his psychic-writer wife starts picking up odd vibes, Zach outwardly scoffs, by inward, he knows exactly who's been tapping his shoulder. Three other victims joined Matthew on the night of his demise, and all three seem to have something to say to the present day inhabitants of the Thornton Inn - even the reincarnated murderer himself. The plot shifts seamlessly between worlds, past to present, and even to an hellish underworld only Zach is 'privileged' to experience. It's an excellent read.
