More About Me

  • Nicknames: Nettie
  • Nationality: USA
  • Religion: Christian - Protestant
  • Interests: First of all, I am a part of the Bride of Christ - that's really the most important thing, because if I didn't belong to the Church, everything else in my life would be different. I am married to my perfect mate for life, whose love makes it my priviledge to submit. I have been given four precious gifts to love, nurture and train up in the way they should go - what a joy and what a challenge! I am interested in all kinds of history - especially Art and Music, as they were my college majors - but all history is His Story, so I never tire of learning more of how He has manifested His will in every field of learning, in every culture, down through the ages. I am on a lifelong quest for fitness - it has its ups and downs, but, through thick and thin (hah) I keep trying. Walking and hiking are my favorites, with strength training a close second (and when I'm really in shape, kick boxing). I love our ranch in northern Arizona, and our family all dreams of moving there one day...
  • Expertise: Don't you hate it when people pretend they have no skills? How ridiculous! Everyone has skills - so cut out all that false modesty! Here's what I've discovered I'm good at (even though there's always room for improvement): Being a great wife, loving if sometimes distracted Mom, "Church-Marm" - as we call my position in our inner city church, Pastel, Charcoal and Oil painting, in that order, singing Mezzo Soprano and playing Viola (though I'm way too rusty on that right now), making incredibly nutritious bread with whole grains, teaching my children to read and love learning, and reading aloud to my family using all my skills of dramatic interpretation.

Remember all of the reasons we celebrate this nation's Independence Day in all of your 4th of July fun. We are truly blessed to have such freedom in this country and blessed to have those that have secured that freedom for us both past, present, and even in the days to come. In triumph and in traged

Hah! Well, I'm not sure how hot the debate would be with a Roman Catholic. It would absolutely depend on the subject matter. I am currently wading through some articles at http://pontifications.wordpress.com/ on two subjects: Justification, and Sola Scriptura. It takes me a long time (I'm a bus
